Update - v2 - Roughgen v2 Fuse and wing as separate. This is the 3 servo version: aileron left/flap, aileron/flap right, and elevator.ĭifferent tail, wing and power pods nose variations available separately. Carbon reinforcement is recommended but not necessary. All wings fit all fuses, so upgrading later or trying additional wing type is easy.ĭesigned to be printed in any type of material. You can select one of the other wing options, see the airfoils and wings page for a complete explanation of the different types. This is the simplest combination for be best performance. 2+ complete sets can be printed from 1kg of material. Print extras for repairs or print multiple copies. Flies like a molded plane, but you print the parts. The design was specialty formulated to deal with rough landings in bushes and rocky areas with a reinforced leading edge and features to hold carbon support. With a 1.2m wingspan is small enough to easily fit just about anywhere, but big enough to be seen easily even at a distance. Recommended wing - 1.2M RG15 2 Servo - Bread from F3F competition, the RG15 airfoil is a known performer with a huge speed range and excels many conditions from light lift to booming thermals. All other tail options can still be used with this file set. The Roughgen file set features the Cross Tail Design. The Roughgen is a 3D printable airframe, based on many molded slope racing / performance gliders from the past 30 years. The Roughgen Version2 file set adds the most popular option of the removable wing with the selection of wing airfoil, type and size. Not because I no longer want to use S3D, I really do, but just as a means of protest over feeling scammed.Īt the very least they should give a longer free update period to anyone who purchased S3D before this 1 year update thing was added. I'm actually considering to ask for a refund because of this. I would never have spent the 150 if I had known I would need to keep paying for updates after just 1 year (which is ridiculously short considering the purchase price).
#Simplify3d product updates software
As we do recommend this software it’s not the only one that you can use for the 3D printer. Default we supply Simplif圓D with our 3D printers as slicing software. Now they just edit in this "oh by the way, after just 1 year you will be left with an outdated no-longer-maintained product unless you pay more"? Installing simplif圓D Importing Tractus3D settings in Simplif圓D Updating firmware settings in Simplif圓D.

I purchased S3D 6 months ago to the day, and like most people the only reason I was prepared to spend 150 bucks on it was because it was supposedly a one-time purchase. I understand that they need to make money but this is a rotten move. The free slicers have come a long way and some passed the S3D mark in my opinion.

After the first year you must pay for them.
#Simplify3d product updates license
I will not spend money on the 5.# update if it doesn't contain something that I really need and can't be done with free slicers, I spent 150 already on it and I thought it would be lifetime updates, now they say it's lifetime license and only 1 year updates. We are extremely excited for what's coming next and we look forward to another innovative year in 2019!

Stay tuned for more information about the exciting new features and upgrade pricing later in the year as we get closer to the release of Version 5.0. We also want to inform our users that Version 5.0 will be our first paid software upgrade. Version 5.0 will incorporate changes to almost every facet of the product, allowing us to make major improvements to the software. At the same time, we are investing heavily into the development of Version 5.0, which is set to be the biggest update in our company's history. A new Version 4 update is already in progress to address many common requests. We have big plans for 2019! Our development team continues to incorporate many of your ideas into the future roadmap for Simplif圓D. This is from the S3D newsletter and I'm not linked to them.
